Abstract
The contribution analyses the main theoretical fields in which an interpretation of neoliberal globalisation has been formulated. After exploring the many meanings that are condensed in the syntagm today, problematising its scientific and heuristic validity, as well as its topicalityh, it examines respectively the neoliberal doctrines and the critical theories of actual existing neoliberalism. In the second paragraph, therefore, the various declinations of neoliberal globalist projects are exposed and discussed, focusing on Austrian marginalism and German ordoliberalism. The last section is instead dedicated to the development of critical theories of neoliberal globalisation. The idea guiding the presented overview is that thinking about the «neoliberal globe» can be fruitful not only in analysing the current order in which critique seems to be put out of play and the crisis chronicled, but also in attempting to rehabilitate critique.
